How Often Should You Clean Your Home’s Windows?
We often get asked at the end of a house job with a first time customer “How often should I clean my windows?”
There are a few factors to consider, but our general recommendation is every six months, or twice a year. This provides the best balance between affordability and having your windows consistently clean. If twice a year is not in your budget, we recommend a minimum of once a year cleanings. After a year, your windows will definitely be more on the dirty side but still keep your windows looking new, with bright white or dark frames, and crystal clear glass panes.
Are there factors where you may need to clean your windows more often? Yes. If you live near water, like a river, lake, or the ocean, we recommend cleaning your windows every one to two months near salt water and every three months or quarterly if near fresh water. This will greatly control the bugs, moisture, and mildew that can accumulate when your home is close to a body of water.
Considering all these points and you’ll be on your way to a cleaner and brighter home!
